Industrial Coating Systems

From a single spray gun to an automated paint line, Blastech has the solutions to your industrial coating challenges.

AirproAir Spray

Conventional Spray Guns
Interested in saving paint? Change to the Airpro gun today. By providing higher levels of transfer efficiency the Airpro conventional spray gun is helping to reduce the amount of coating lost as overspray. In addition the Airpro gun provides excellent operator comfort for maximum productivity. These high levels of operator comport have been achieved by making the Airpro lighter and better balanced than previous generations of the gun.

Conventional Spray Supply Systems
BlastechMany industrial coaters have now converted to the Triton diaphragm pump as an alternative to pressure pots. Ease of cleaning makes colour changes and end-of-day procedures quicker, and reduces solvent consumption. Low pulsation and smooth changeover ensures a consistent spray pattern. Rugged construction ensures long life.

Industrial Airless Spray Pumps

Xtreme Airless Sprayer
The Xtreme airless pump lower with the NXT air motor combine to provide the industry standard for industrial sprayers.

The new NXT air motor has been tested to 20,000,000 cycles without the need for service or repair. The new modular design also means that it is  easier to repair and quieter than the previous models.

The Xtreme lower can be packed down with just a hammer and screwdriver and knocked down in minutes. The “Plasmacote” rod has triple the life of alternative rods. Re-engineered porting and fluid passages provide smoother flow and eliminate dead spots for better fluid transfer and easier cleaning.

Fine Finish Airless Spray Pumps
The Merkur family of spray pumps are designed specifically for fine finish applications. With a rapid and smooth changeover, the Merkur pump provides a more consistent fan for more even coating application. The Merkur pump lower has an easy flush design of different gun types including air assisted airless spray, standard airless spray and electrostatic spray.

Electric Airless Sprayers
Blastech’s range of GMAX and Ultramax petrol and electric sprayers are designed for portability and jobs where compressed air is not available. The Endurance pumps used on these sprayers can be knocked down in minutes for quick servicing. Electronic controls and tracking systems provide accurate control. Ergonomically designed carts ensure easy maneuverability on site.

Plural Component Spraying Systems
With increasing environmental and performance requirements being demanded for industrial coatings, a new approach to coating applications is required. To meet these challenging demands, Blastech has a range of plural component spraying systems. Depending on the types of system and options chosen, plural component sprayers can transfer material from the supplied packaging to a central proportioning unit, mix the material at the correct ratio and supply a wide range of different spray technologies. Blastech’s two key plural component equipment families are the NXT and the Reactor.

The NXT is designed for coatings with cure times of one minute and longer. The Reactor is designed for coatings with a cure time of less than one minute.

Air-assisted Airless Spraying
Air-assisted airless spraying provides a unique combination of conventional and airless spraying. Air-assisted airless spraying feeds a small amount of air to the front of the airless gun to provide better atomization of the coating. This technology is of particular benefit where automotive quality type finish is required and large volumes of coatings are to be applied.

Electrostatic Spraying
The operating principle of electrostatic spraying involves applying an electrical charge to the coating and earthing the item to sprayed. This provides excellent “wrap around” on complex shaped items. Electrostatic spraying can be with either conventional air airless supply technologies. The Pro Xs range of electrostatic spray guns available from Blastech provide superior ergonomics, durable construction and a self-contained design that doesn’t require an external power pack.

Pipe Blasting and Coating
Blastech are also able to supply specialized systems for blasting and coating pipes both internally and externally. Systems are available for both in-plant and onsite applications. Automation and remote control can also be added to these systems.
