Soft Media Blasting
The principle of abrasive blasting can be used for a broad variety of applications apart from merely surface preparation for corrosion control. Many of these applications require the use of very fine or soft blast media. An inherent problem, common to most media of this type, is the difficulty to get it to flow. To combat this problem, Blastech has a range of soft media blasting systems.
Precision Media Blaster
The precision media blaster is a dedicated abrasive machine that is designed to make blasting with fine or soft media possible.
Design features which help overcome the difficulties of blasting with these materials and need closer control in specialist applications include:
- Bypass regulator for blast pressure
- Steep-sided base cone
- Media vibrator
- Thompson valve II metering system with Tungsten carbide key slot sleeve for accurate metering at very low flow rates.
Accustrip Bi-carb Soda Blasting System
Accustrip blasting machines are variant of the Precision Media Blaster range designed specifically for Bi-carb soda blasting. The Accustrip differs from the precision media blaster with the inclusion of the following features:
- Differential pressure control to assist flow
- Dedicated range of blast nozzles designed to provide maximum benefit when using bi-carbonate of soda.
